Isn't telling half truths,
Really telling of lies?
Are they not both the same-
And just a thought up guise?
We try to cover up
What's wrong with what looks right.
In fear of offending,
We never are forthright.
A lie will always be
Regardless of its name.
To say things which mislead
Turns 'half truths' into flame.
This flame will set a fire and burn away your view,
And blur the difference making wrong and truth askew.
