Lengthyness- what the world would be like without long poems

Poetic lines which go on and on and on and on forever,
Prove to be a pointless trek and quite a foolish endeavor.
If we were to keep it brief the world would be a different place,
All the bad things in the world would simply then erase.

All questions will be solved,
All discourse shall dissolve.
No one will be left out,
No one will be without.
Teenagers wont rebel.
We all will learn to spell.
Fruit will never spoil.
Our workers never toil.
Friendships will increas.
World hatred will then sease.
Dogs will learn to love cats.
Cars will never have flats.
We will not have to fret,
About our National Debt.

Take it from me and never go beyond the perfect amount
Of lines of poetry, or else be sure, hate mail will surmount.
People will insult your honor, leaving you sad and depressed.
You'll regret your mistakes, be uneasy, a wreck, and be stressed.

Lie vs. Truth

Isn't telling half truths,
Really telling of lies?
Are they not both the same-
And just a thought up guise?

We try to cover up
What's wrong with what looks right.
In fear of offending,
We never are forthright.

A lie will always be
Regardless of its name.
To say things which mislead
Turns 'half truths' into flame.

This flame will set a fire and burn away your view,
And blur the difference making wrong and truth askew.

More Limericks for Friday:

LONGEVITY
Do not write your poems too long,
For fear of them rambling on.
Just say what you need
And say it with speed
And then you can never go wrong.

JIVE
Some peoples talks in lines of jive,
Keepin' it groovy, hip, alive.
Dey say new phrases,
Whatev' da 'craze' is
We say dey be talkin' da jive.

A Limerick As A Wedding Vow:

There's multyple ways I could say,
All my vows on our wedding day.
Traditional style
Would take quite a while,
For time I will do it this way:

I pledge to you here at this time,
In Limerick form of a rhyme-
Ill always be true
To no one but you,
I love you, and I'm lucky your mine.
