They Know What They Are Talking About

Find someone older than seventy,
I dare you to talk for an evening.
At least sit and listen very closely,
By the end you won't want to be leaving.
They might talk about their life,
As they start to reminisce,
Of all the days of their youth,
And opportunities missed.

Take to heart what they're saying,
For they're more or less warning,
Of regrets which you'll have
Every day, every morning
As a result of neglecting
All the chances you'll get.
For they'll haught you forever
And you'll never forget.
