My Brother gave me,
A ukulele,
Upon this passed Christmas day.
Though small in its size,
It weren't no surprise,
That others listen to it play.

Just a Thought
Across the sea of sifting snow, as mighty winds did blow.
A thought of all the things I have which some may never know.
Three square meals to eat each day, or meals at Chinese buffets.
A thought of all the things I have, this thought I try to you convey.
Parties on my day of birth give me feelings of great mirth,
But many others cant afford to celebrate their years on earth.
Go for runs or walks in parks and let imaginations spark.
Have the freedom to embark on innovations some call stark.
With all the opportunity to strive for things I wish to be
To think I sit and let them pass and use my time frivolously.
There's so much rubbish I buy, my motives I misapply.
Ill waste no time and act right now, to not let chances pass me by.
With all the opportunity to strive for things I wish to be
To think I sit and let them pass and use my time frivolously.
There's so much rubbish I buy, my motives I misapply.
Ill waste no time and act right now, to not let chances pass me by.

Limerick Friday: Elephants
Across the Savanna they roam,
Of their mercy none will be shown.
Ripping tree trunks,
And neighboring punks,
But yet they will bring a flower home.

Child's Midnight Imagination
Is it in the closet?
Or underneath my bed?
Something lies in wait for me
Or so it has been said.
Though these tales are told,
By all who claim they saw,
The Creature who was death itself
They're filled with many a'flaw.
I find not a reason,
For me to run in fright.
For I have found the comfort
Not found in a night-light.
So, though the lights turned off,
I find no need to scare.
Now I have a croix de guerre
Thanks to my teddybear.
Old Timer's Tales
Sitting now without his wife,
And not a word is said.
The number of his days of life,
Are grays upon his head.
Though he sits without a sound,
His mind is never idle.
For what will come of all those years,
Learning skills that were vital.
His mind is singing with ideas
Of things which he would do.
If only he did have his youth,
The age of me or you.
So, he tells all who he can,
Of these thoughts he has in mind.
Someone who can help him with
These thoughts, he tries to find.
And not a word is said.
The number of his days of life,
Are grays upon his head.
Though he sits without a sound,
His mind is never idle.
For what will come of all those years,
Learning skills that were vital.
His mind is singing with ideas
Of things which he would do.
If only he did have his youth,
The age of me or you.
So, he tells all who he can,
Of these thoughts he has in mind.
Someone who can help him with
These thoughts, he tries to find.
Boring
Work is slow
And boring today.
As if it were
A poor written play.
No plot,
no story
No point,
No hurry.
So, If it doesn't,
Quit real quick.
"Col. Mustard in the Kitchen,
With the candlestick."
And boring today.
As if it were
A poor written play.
No plot,
no story
No point,
No hurry.
So, If it doesn't,
Quit real quick.
"Col. Mustard in the Kitchen,
With the candlestick."
Awaiting Spring Time
Summer's left my life
And Fall is almost done
All that's left is Winter
Before Spring is begun.
And Fall is almost done
All that's left is Winter
Before Spring is begun.
Legacy
What and Who, Why and How,
Are the questions i hope are asked,
By people who are yet from now
Who wonder about my past.
But what have i done
That amounts to a dime
That really has meaning and worth?
I hope when i go
Someone else just might know
Of something i did to help Earth.
Going Back to the Start
After looking at my life,
After thinking it all through,
Could i change my name
And start my life anew?
Despite all my best efforts,
Despite what i can do,
Would my reputation
Follow with me through?
I have a second chance,
And I try to do what's right,
I must always keep in mind
Trust doesn't happen overnight.
True Running
Far too few know the true joy of running,
A sad and unfortunate truth.
For when i go out to go running,
It's the smile on my face that is proof.
True it hard, and requires much effort
To put yourself up at the start.
And as you wait for that gun to go off
Your adrenalin rushes your heart!
Farmers- Another poem by Jake Hole
Working with animals
That stink and smell bad,
You and me both should have
Respect for my Dad.
There wouldn't be hamburgers,
Chicken, steak, or corn,
If it weren't for those farmers
Who wake early in the morn.'
That stink and smell bad,
You and me both should have
Respect for my Dad.
There wouldn't be hamburgers,
Chicken, steak, or corn,
If it weren't for those farmers
Who wake early in the morn.'
A Patriot's Prayer
Compelled by Love,
Compelled to fight.
Compelled to serve,
(My County's right).
To Love my Country
To help it be,
That evils stopped,
Helpless set free.
So, for my Country
For this fight,
I kneel here now,
And Pray tonight.
Compelled to fight.
Compelled to serve,
(My County's right).
To Love my Country
To help it be,
That evils stopped,
Helpless set free.
So, for my Country
For this fight,
I kneel here now,
And Pray tonight.
Lily
My little Lilly is lost.
She disappeared,
With Winter's first frost.
No need me waiting,
She won't be back.
She took that ride,
In that long black
Cadillac.
She ain't returning,
So ain't no reason
To be waiting.
She disappeared,
With Winter's first frost.
No need me waiting,
She won't be back.
She took that ride,
In that long black
Cadillac.
She ain't returning,
So ain't no reason
To be waiting.
First Post: Something Needs to Happen
Something needs to happen.
If evil is to cease.
Maybe if Good takes a stand,
The world could come to peace
Getting started.
