We have a pet dog whose named Tuck.
He rides in the bed of our truck.
He fell out one day,
Quite to our dismay,
Broke his leg, so our plans went a'muck.

'Twas The Day After Christmas
' Twas the day after Christmas, in one room of the house.
Everybody was tussling, even the mouse.
The stockings all torn from the chimney with haste,
The gifts from St. Nicholas all lay in a waste.
The adults were bustling, all stressed out with cares-
More greys they'd attribute to their turnings of hairs.
And Dad with no beanie, and I without cap,
Decided we'd best not to plan for a nap.
When all through the room the commotion subsided.
I sat on my bed, chance to ponder provided-
"The reason we get is because we've been given,
As was Jesus begot of our Lord up in heaven."
The Son of God given so that He could take
Away our offences all for His love's sake.
He was given to take, we get for He's given.
We've made out like bandits with all He's forgiven.
So here we take Christmas a time to recall,
The moment of birth which has started it all.
